 Brief Biography

Currently I am a Ph. D. Candidate at LAMDA led by Professor Zhi-Hua Zhou,  under the guidance of whom I started my research career.

I was admitted to study as an undergraduate student in Department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University in 1999. I received my  B.Sc. Degree in 2003, and was granted the opportunity to proceed my postgraduate study in the same department exempt from entrance examination. I joined  LAMDA in 2002. Under the guidance of Prof. Zhi-Hua Zhou, I've participated in a number of research projects focusing on machine learning and data mining. In particular, I've worked on learning from labeled and unlabeled data, multi-instance learning, ensemble learning. I've been in charge of a research project of Graduate Innovation Program of Jiangsu Province on Semi-supervised Learning. I participated in PAKDD'06 Data Mining competition with other LAMDA members, and won the Open Category Champion. For the achievements having been made, I have been granted a number of awards and honors, such as Microsoft Fellowship Award, HP Chinese Excellent Student Scholarship, etc.
